If we sign that Calafiori, we'll have 4 or 5 FBs who are all originally CHs....

Ben, Tomi, Timber, him and Kiwior assuming he stays. It's great they can cover both FB and CH, with Timber and Tomi being able to play across the whole back line. But is this some sort of plan?

Will he try to sell one or both of Zinny and Kiwior and will we have ant takers, or will it be loans then flogged off cheap in the last year? We haven't seen what Jakob can do at LCH but apparently the wops thought he was great there so there may be some takers.

But we really need a MF who can play DM and a striker.

Well there is no such position as defensive midfield so that can be ****ed straight out of the window

Would you prefer holding midfielder? Single pivot? 6? 6 and a half with 8 tendencies? Base of the diamond?

    Water carrier?

If only it had a latin name, it would be considered real.

He only sees two types of defenders. Left footed ones and right footed ones. All should have one of two abilities- clever enough to play as a centre back, or technically flexible enough to play in an inverted role.

City operate a similar flexibility with almost all their defenders operating in multiple positions. It's the future.

I like the idea of an Italian defender- handsome chap, cynical and shrewd, filthy when required. Unfortunately the really good ones tend not to leave Italy.

Makes as much sense as a left-8. And how would you describe Gilby?

Tomi and Timber can play both sides.

Steady on, P. No Italian defender has ever won the Premier League. English football may just be too chaotic for them and, like the Germans, they struggle with it.

Does seem like a nice boy though
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

Possibly, yes. But I think it is also because the good ones don't come here.

I'm far more concerned with bringing in a fanny dancing midfielder.
